It is like a 3D jigsaw most things can only go in one place.

The best advice I can give is - If you're planning to do it yourself then find someone who has done it before to give you a hand. Experience of previous knowledge is a massive help.....and safer if you've never even jacked up and supported a car on axle stands..

I do most things to cars, - clutch changes, engine swaps, brakes and suspensions changes, but often use garages for cambelts and more technical stuff... cos it is sometimes easier that way... I often work on the principal that If I spend 5hrs on a job that could only take 1 hr in a garage then it is cost effective to use a garage..

It's out of an accident-damaged car, apparently it's only done 42k milage but u know what these places are like for that! Paid £130 for it, including delivery, so that's not too bad! Just can't believe a bit of water has done that much damage! Apparently it's come in through the air filter.

Next problem is fitting it, anyone any idea of how difficult it's going to be? We've got the Hayes workshop manual which is great, and the engine drops out underneath which makes things a bit easier!

Will get some pics of my baby up when she's all better! We tried turning it over with the spark plugs out but the starter motor isnt turning properly. We've had it out though and connected up to the battery and it's working fine. I'm gonna have to get a mechanic out to it. :-(
