    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.forum.clubnissan.co.uk/member_profile.asp?PF=2">Guests</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4462<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 07&nbsp;July&nbsp;2011 at 18:03<br /><br /><P>bearings do go. vaux novas and corsa are renowned for knocking out rear bearings. i got so use to doing the it only use to take me 15-20 to do both sides micras with 14"+ alloys knock out bearings too</P><P>one thing that puts me off on the note is the nyloc nuts on the hubs imho there a bad idea due to the heat and vibration - replace them every time you touch the hub</P><P>Is the vibration/hum/grumble there all the time or is it at certain speeds ? have you had the wheels balanced or even swapped the wheels diagonally front to back ?</P><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by flash22</span>]]>

I will check later. Another reason why I thought bearings unlikely. I have had one wheel bearing fail on an old mini back in 1974ish. We will see when I get the vehicle back whether the noise has gone.&nbsp;]]>

Maybe I didn't spin wheel fast enough to hear it because that was the first thing I looked at. There did not appear to be any play either. Do you know which side of the car it comes from, if so switch the wheels around and see if the symptoms follow suit.]]>
