The car is hardly getting a chnace to warm up lol, it should improve on longer runs. you will get bad returns on shirt runs, especially if theyare in traffic

i get 29-30 if i do loads of short runs i did a 500-550 mile round trip so a long run i got over 50mpg

59 plate note 1.6 auto btw

when was the last time it was properly serviced ?? air filter, plugs, fuel filter, oil filter and oil ??

Are the tires at the correct pressures ??

what grade fuel are you using ?

All these things will have an impact on mpg, if you just pottering around have you tried turning the overdrive off ?? this should make the car a bit better on fuel too

well its not an overdrive as such (not like an old 60-70s car) more of a sports mode

its electronic and changes the ecu map ie. it revs higher before changing up

lower the revs - the less fuel you use (well thats the theory anyway)
