Well at the moment we are not really owners yet so are in the same boat as you. We are waiting for our government to confirm the incentives for going green and when that is done we need to sign the contracts to become owners. Here's hoping. |

And when is the Leaf supposed to come out in Athens? Any dates yet? See? you get one too and then there will be not 1...not 2....but 3 Leaf owners on this site!!! That would be even more amazing!!! Oh and just out of interest, I have been given a website for all UK Leaf enthusiasts: http://www.newsroom.nissan-europe.com/uk/en- gb/Home/Welcome.aspx ...and this one's official! I hope that helps. Correction...the price of the Nissam Leaf in Emgland is
£28,990 before incentives and £ 23.990 factoring in government incentives of £5,000. Apologies for not being precise... |

Hi Notefever. The price for the Leaf is estimated at
£ 23.990 here in England. I have been trying to follow the American Websites as they started their reservation process in April and they should get theirs some time in December. I think there is Nissan Leaf SL and a Nissan Leaf SV. The SL has all the features of the SV plus some. If you are interested in this car, there is a Nissan Website that is very useful for information (American of course) but I think it's a good starting point: http://nissan-leaf.net/ There are going to be a few more electric cars in the next 3 to 5 years: Renault (sister company to Nissan),the ford focus, the miniE, the Fiat 500 (initially only made in America...these are some of the ones I have heard about but Nissan is already working on something new too. I hope the website is useful to you As for hydrogen cars, Flash22 I think you are right...we are not quite there yet and I am sure the electric cars will come a very long way from the very first pioneering Nissan Leaf...they are already talking of making small improvements to the car when it goes into production here in England in 2013. |
