56 Note auto box possible fault slipping?

Hi all, I reversed out of a parking space the other day which was on a slight slope and the car wouldn't stop rolling back and when I finally stopped it and put it in to drive it wouldn't go forwards I had to call the AA out and he got in it and it was fine so I drove it home. If anybody knows of any possible faults with these 4 speed transmissions any help would be much appreciated! Also would an EOBD scanner pick up any transmission related fault codes? It's almost as if something is slipping? The car has only covered 7000 miles.
