Horn issues

   Hi,
I've got a 2001 Almera S which is due an MOT and the horn won't work. I've put a new one on but it's still not working. There is current to the horn, the relay clicks when you press the button but nothing happens. I've even taken the new horn back for a replacement in case it was faulty.
What have I overlooked? I really don't want to spend a fortune on having a garage fix - they tend to take one look at me and put the price up (being female has that effect on them I've found :( )
