Hi guys,
Any help, advice, personal knowledge greatly received! Have a micra k11 profile 1.0 1999. Died whilst driving, rac fitted new distributor. Drove well for a week then started to misfire and surge. Broke down again but after waiting it started and rac followed me home. Car continued to misfire and then would not start. Rac returned tested all spark plugs they were fine but recommended garage. Garage looked at car 'not sure what the problem is' but we will charge you £600 for throttle body and new cat part! Managed to drive car to friend mechanic he changed throttle body and i think found immobiliser fault, unfotunately he has gone on holiday for a month. I drove car home from garage and he said see how it drives when im away, it drove ok and didnt mis fire. Two days later went to start car, it started for 2secs then died and now engine orange light is flashing. Have tried each day to start car but again will fire up but die and light remains flashing. Any ideas? i am going to wait until my mate is back but want to see if anyone has a solution. Its done 82,000 not long been MOT and fully serviced and with all these new parts put in it im slightly pissed off if i have to get a poksy £80 scrap for it when ive shelled out about £400! Help! Many thanks! Jade x
