Hello All
I have a strange problem with a Almera 1.5S 52 Plate. When you start the car in colder conditions, the car will start fine but it will hesitate and lag power between 2,500 and 3,000 rpms when you try to apply slightly more accerelation. Even when the engine warmed up and on normal operating temperature the problem will be there after 30 mintues of driving. The only way to get rid of the problem is to switch the car off, leave it turned off for approximately 15 - 20 mintues and the problem go's away. The car is back to normal i.e it drives and responds to Accerelation normally. I have had the following changed: - camshaft sensor changed twice - coolant temperature sensor - got the car serviced - changed butterfly throttle part On morning which are not too cold then the car drives fine. When we start to de-ice the car and start to become nippy outside - this is when the car starts to have the problem! any ideas appreciate your help on this issue. Other then that the car drives like a tank! |
