Hello everybody, I am a new Nissan owner, not a new car but new to Nissan. I have bought a 2000 Primera s 2 ltr. I have noticed the revs take a long time to settle to around 900 rpm when relesing the accelerator, in fact the car still drives along when releasing the accelerator for a short while. It rests imediately on 1500 rpm. A bit embaressing at the lights. Then about ten seconds later it rests as it should. Now today on the way home the engine management light lit up. Doh. I don't get paid for two more weeks. Is this something I can tackle myself. From what Ive read it might be connected to the AFM? When the problem is rectified does the engine light go out or will it have to be re-set? Apart from this I am delighted with the ride of the car and its handling corners. I feel the road and the cars limits and the car is easy to judge on gaps. Really impressed and hope to have this car a long time. 56k on the clock and full m/d s/history. A good find. Bodywork spottless. I will post a pic soon. Hope someone can advise. Cash isnt good at the moment. Cheers Jason |

Hi mate, so sorry to be delayed, I had not looked at this
site for some time. I had to replace the lambda sensor on the exhaust manifold as well as the maf sensor. Which I picked up from India for £50.00, a gamble that it came but it did and now car is working a treat. I stupidly didn't take a not of the website as I found it via a search engine. Good luck. Do let me know if your back on the road in good health. My mechanic wanted over £300.00 for the repair and parts, I managed to only spend around £80, fishing around at forums and parts websites. Cost a bit in time but worth the saving to be bank in these harshly expensive times. Jason |
