rear light not working?

   Hi, I have an unusual problem in that the rear light on the rear windscreen no longer works! I've checked the bulbs in the unit - no problems there I think, and I've checked the fuses - no problem there as well! Could there be something i'm missing out when trying to figure this problem out?
P.S. the car has just had it's MOT, and it never failed because of that, so If I can't solve the problem, I might just leave it!
