Hello. I have been looking and looking for a UK forum for
the new Nissan Leaf and all I can find is American sites. Someone suggested joining here and maybe start a thread of my own. And here it goes: I have reserved my Nissan Leaf on 1st September - blue with solar panel (so far). Anyone else? alex <~almera owner |

Thank you Flash22. Unfortunately I missed the what ? car
invite but I have just received one to go to the official opening of the Nissan Innovation Station at the O2 Arena in London on Friday 1st October. Introduction by the Managing Director of Nissan GB and exclusive viewing of the 100% electric Nissan Leaf. I think I'll go and see for myself what my new toy really looks like... |

Hello from Athens! Nice Buy, you did! What's the cars price estimated in UK? We won't be seeing (in Greece) this car for a year -or so and i'm eager to find out news for it. The price here is estimated to 30.000euros and it's concidered expensive.. But it's one of the best concept (worldwide). Rumors say, that SMART also develops an electric FORTWO version, but unless u re using this car for heavy traffic jam down town, you can also use it for filling gaps in basements. (it's too small) |

Hi Notefever. The price for the Leaf is estimated at
£ 23.990 here in England. I have been trying to follow the American Websites as they started their reservation process in April and they should get theirs some time in December. I think there is Nissan Leaf SL and a Nissan Leaf SV. The SL has all the features of the SV plus some. If you are interested in this car, there is a Nissan Website that is very useful for information (American of course) but I think it's a good starting point: http://nissan-leaf.net/ There are going to be a few more electric cars in the next 3 to 5 years: Renault (sister company to Nissan),the ford focus, the miniE, the Fiat 500 (initially only made in America...these are some of the ones I have heard about but Nissan is already working on something new too. I hope the website is useful to you As for hydrogen cars, Flash22 I think you are right...we are not quite there yet and I am sure the electric cars will come a very long way from the very first pioneering Nissan Leaf...they are already talking of making small improvements to the car when it goes into production here in England in 2013. |

Correction...the price of the Nissam Leaf in Emgland is
£28,990 before incentives and £ 23.990 factoring in government incentives of £5,000. Apologies for not being precise... |
