A common mod on the Discovery was to replace the fan with an electric one

like either a Kenlowe or Pacet. I am not sure if they do a conversion for the Pathfinder as yet? When I have fitted these in the past I have noticed better engine speed warm up and better fuel economy so will be keeping my eye out for one soon. Kev |

Thanks Kev, yes I do have that switch, it dose help, will be asking the dealer to check it out to give me peace of mind, might just have to get used to it if this is the way the fan is set up.

   Hi

The problem is due to the fact that the engine takes so long to heat up due to the cooling fan being on permanently as like Landrover Discovery's, It is a pain and takes a few miles to fully heat up. Does your car have the switch on the dash to run the engine at approx 2k rpm to warm the engine? This I leave on whilst clearing the outside of the car and does help Kev |

Hi, new to this, so here goes, have had my PF for six months now, bought it for pulling my caravan and seven seats + reasonable boot, which it dose great, been handling the snow and ice no problem, the problem is the heater which takes B----y ages to heat up, it dose'nt really start blowing warm / hot air until engine temp is up ? I have had ice on inside of windscreen twice so far also frost starting to form on dash around streering wheel (was - 18) but have had nothing like this in any of the other motors Iv had over the years, which includes large 7 seaters, I have took to carrying paper towles  (also small dehumidifier) as the condensation is terrible

!. Has anyone had this sort of problem ?? Due for service next month, hoping they find something as its doing my head in. Any tips very welcome
