Automatic Wiper fault

   On my Note I have automatic wipers trouble is they wip. once, every so 
often when it is not raining. The dealer has inspected the car but as 
this faulut did not occure while they had the car they could not rectify
 it.  They also claim that Nissan has not listed this fault and can only
 deal with it when Nissan issue a notice of possible fault or when the 
whole unit fails.

Has anyone else had a similar situation and if so how was it rectified.

Am leaving this question in the General section.

	welcome to the world of auto wipers mine work when it stops raining or when thay feel like it think tis down to the way the system is calibrated or not as the case maybe it could be a number of things causing it first thing i would do is disconnect the battery for 10-15 min so the ecu and bcm resets and see if the fault still happens had simular fault on my 08 corsa (heap of $!"$) Edited by flash22

	i had a similar issue where upon starting the car they would work constantly... nissan couldnt find that fault either, but then i realised to correct it switch ignition off, remove key and restart... all ok for a while.

	i think the 'auto' features in the note aren't very good to be honest. the auto lights come on too late (in tunnels etc) and too soon (when it's not even dark yet) the wipers wipe when they want to. sometimes so fast i thought the flipping thing would fly off at any minute. as soon as you pick a temperature, the climate control blasts air out at full power. i.e. in the winter, when you first get in your car and stick it on hot, it will blasts cold air out at full tilt in your face!
