Battery drains over time

   Hi all
My wife has just bought a 2004 SVE 1.4. We're told there is a problem with the battery when left unused for a week or more. Internet searching suggests it might be related to the immobiliser which constantly turns on and off.

Has there been a product recall on this?

Is there a sensible solution?
