Nah I'm gona stay with level 2 as thats all i need when i go back home to USA to the family run company, besides, the college i was at wouldnt let me stay on for level 3...it's a long story. A lot of what was going on in the college was total crap anyway, everything was spoon fed to the students, even at level 2 and the 2 of the teachers there didnt have a damn clue about what they were teaching. one gave us an assignment to do on suspension and brakes...I tore the whole thing (3 pages) apart and turned it into a 69 page document just to be told it's too much and only needed to be half a page (at the most) for all 3 pages...so after that i made up my mind to not even bother with level 3.
but thats just some of the crap i had to deal with while i was there.
if you want the full thing from start to finish i'll PM you with it....just let me know...lol...

Ant (my son) found the same problems, he knew much more than the teachers on a lot of it and found himself having to bite his tongue after a very embarrassed teacher gave him a hard time and he soon went from top student to him him dropping out.
Great pity really, his self taught and skills gained from others has been wasted for now. Our Becky had the same problems, only girl on the course (she did paint and body).

I was taught by my dad since I was about 3 or 4, there was also a few red faced teachers at my college as well as the one my brother went to...lol....
Mick, teaching apprentices in a place of work is a huge difference to teaching in a college, in a place of work they get 90% hands on teaching, besides, you really know what your teaching unlike the muppets I had to deal with at my college, sat through 2 years of being around a bunch of hormonal teenage boys....not my idea of fun.
Some of these college teachers say they have been in the trade for so many years before going into teaching but the things they were teaching was total rubbish and when questioned they either lost their temper with you or (in my case) just completly ignored you.
The only thing I got out of college was these stupid bits of paper that say i'm qualified for my job, for what good it does these days...
I'm gona be off and on for a few days guys, i'm watching this storm Issac of the coast of where I live in USA, they say it's going to take the same path as Katrina and thats really not good, I was there when Katrina hit so I know how hard it hit everyone and our company.
I'm hoping it blows out before it gets any closer.
