hi guys im new to this forum and hope you can help with my matter I have a micra 2003 and it wont start. the battery was totaly flat and once I put a set of jump leads on the car I get all ignition lights and then try and turn the car over the problem is it wont turn over not even try. im hoping someone can help as im pulling my hair out with it thanks in advance.

I would try a new battery to start with.

Hi thanks for your reply but wouldn't trying to jump start the car fix the problem if it's the battery?

Not always no, if the battery is old enough just putting jump leads on it won't be enough.
The question I should ask now is, When you turn the key to start the car do you hear anything from the starter motor, like a click or anything like that? If not then I would look at a replacement starter motor. |

When I try to turn it over there is no noise from the starter, the only noise comes from a relay at the fuse box but only 4 a second then going off.

Then I would change the started motor.
You can go for a new one from any motor factors or you can go for one from a breakers yard. Hope this helps and let us know how you get on. |
