This car seems to fit our requirements but some reports indicate it is "Buzzy" at motorway speeds. Our trial run in a demo 1.4 Acenta was in town only so I did not really manage to check what revs were in 5th gear. I would like to know rev readings at 50 or 60 MPH then can calculate other speeds.

Could any Note owners let me know the data please. For 1.4 SE, 1.4 Acenta and the manual 1.6 model. I understand Nissan altered the gear ratios in the last few years for the 1.4 but do not know exactly when and if it improved the results at higher road speeds.

Any info will be gratefully received.

I have a 1.6 auto its fine at motorway speeds you can have a chat without shouting lol

The 1.6 is the one to have tho as its got that little extra when you need it. insurance wise theres not much in it tbh

the nissan connect is worth the money as is the cruise control (standard on the tekna)

am not sure if it willhelp, but i know that at 60 mph mine is revving at approx 3000 and at 70 its about 3300. mines a 1.6 manual.

it does feel noisier than some other cars, but remembering that these are actually little cars that feel big, its still quite quiet inside, try driving with all 4 windows down at 60mph, it actually sounds sporty.

i miss cruise control

Thanks to both of you for the information. You have confirmed what I suspected during the test drive

i spent 6 months looking at cars before ordering the note

runners up where

Golf plus but i couldnt get a test drive in a auto for love nor money but a 800 mile trip, it deprecate like a lead weight or alfa lol iirc i worked it out it losted £9200 in it first year

i liked the seat altera but the only auto was a 1.9/2.0 turbo diesel the rear visabilty is poor to say the least (like driving a van with no back windows)

the car i loved tho was the mini clubman cooper S what a car but the toys pushed it over budget plus in the long run it would of been too low (on going health problems)

you can do worse than buying a note (the bog-o ones are poor tho)

If you have kids dont buy french it will be peices in minutes

edit. just to add you prob have work out now the note is "geared" more to town driving a to b to c sort of runs tbh this is where most note's will spend most of there lifes
