I have purchased some reversing sensors to fit to my Note. They are powered from the reversing light(s). I assume that I can get the wiring from the sensors into the car through the aperture for the rear fog light wiring in the rear bumper, but I then need to get a power feed to the reversing lights. Does anyone know where the harness runs for the rear lights. As the lights are up high, does it run through the roof and drop down, or does it run through at floor level and go up? Is the harness on the nearside or offside?
I don't want to have to take all the interior panels out of the boot, so any help would be appreciated. When I do the work, I'll take some photos and try posting them here to help anyone else who wants to fit sensors.
Many thanks in advance. Kevin |

un bolt the rear lights as in changing a bulb you should be able access the loom from there
Get your self an esm (electronic service manual) for the note it makes life much easier (on ebay for a few quid) I have the sensors factory fit on my note thay make parking very easy indeed |

Thank you for the reply. I have an ESM, it shows the various parts of the wiring harness but not the routing of them.
What I've got to work out is which panels to remove from the boot to access the bits of the wiring I need. |

I have not done this myself but am considering fitting a tow bar so was interested to sort wiring. If you look on Youtube and search for Nissan Note someone has put on a video of fitting a towbar and it clearly shows the wireing loom coming out behind the bumper and running up to the rear lights.
The video is very good at explaining things. Hope this is not too late for help. |

Great, just what I needed. I have been away on holiday so haven't fitted the sensors yet. I'll definitely do a photo/you tube type video on fitting them.
I don't know if you noticed, but there is a great video of a Nissan Note rally car!! See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2GDGjF0dtI It starts off a bit slow, but there is a section through hairpin bends on a mountain which is amazing. |
