I have recently bought the wife a 2006 1.4 note - There is a knocking coming from the front wheels that can be felt through the steering. it happens when the steering is almost at full lock in either direction. Nissan are looking into it but the indication is that they all do it! If you hold the steering at almost full lock and move off in first gear to which ever direction, the noise will appear at the same point of rotation of the road wheels. At first I thought it was pulling off from standstill but it's all the time at the same point of rotation.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue. |

Thanks but its definitely not cv joints its in either direction at a certain point of rotation of the road wheels there are a sequence of three clunks. Then the car has to move the same distance for it to happen again. The car has only done 17000 miles. It does not seem to be coming from one particular side and you can feel the knock through the steering wheel. Nissan have had it for a 2nd full day and claim it's a steering column bush, but have had to order the part. I will wait and see if they are right, but wont hold my breath.
