Brake pedal creep

   I've had my Aventura since September last year and was alarmed when I discovered that the brake pedal will go all the way to the floor if I keep pressure on when statonary (it's ok when the engine isn't running). My local mechanic tells me this is 'diesel creep' and a well known phenomenon, but my Discovery 3 doesn't do it nor any of the other 4 diesel vehicles I have owned. Has anyone else experienced this and, more importantly, is there a cure?
