Just been informed that Dylan has been given an emergency slot for his heart op finally. Gotta take him to the hospital for tests in the next few days and then they will do his op next wednesday.

Gonna be resident at the hospital for the next month or so, so will see ya all when I get back.

Will try to get online in the meantime and update ya

He's now off his aspirin and other meds ready for his op. He's having tests and scans all day monday and as long as those are OK and he doesn't catch a cold in the meantime, he will be having his OP on Wednesday morning.

Well he had his op on 14th June, he should have been in I.C.U. for a maximum of 48 hours but he's still in there.

He is having problems with fluctuating blood pressure, an irregular heart rythm and now he is getting withdrawls because they are reducing his drugs.

He's gonna be in I.C.U. for another couple of days and then he should be back on the normal ward for a week.

He's getting better slowly

Well he took a dip over the weekend unfortunately. It looks like he's definately gonna have a pacemaker fitted this week as his heart is out of sync without one.

Also his kidneys aren't working properly so they have had to put him on dialysis. Hopefully they will mend themselves but we have been told there is a possibility of further surgery if they get worse.

Gonna be in Hospital for a few more weeks yet

Sorry to hear that Si. Kids are resilient and hopefully it'll all work itself out.

Well all is going good.

He had his chest drains removed yesterday (he yanked one out himself), he also was discharged by the kidney docs and moved to the normal ward.

He's having to have a pacemaker fitted on Friday but now we are on the home stretch finally

A quick update for you all... he is doing superbly, back to full strength and walking finally. Proper little handfull now, just like he should be.

The poor lad now has tonsilitis but it doesn't seem to be getting him down too much and it isn't affecting anything to do with his op.

Anyone who is going to the NPOC Peterboghorror meet will meet the little sod...... so be warned
