Hi everyone, just joined, will be having my new NOTE Tekna around about the 15th Oct. yes its the Manual Diesel 1.5 in Black.
I have been looking at one for a while, but nissan have been having a swap around with some models, so i may or may not get the rear trays or arm rests .
i have asked for door handles and rear boot part to be black but as yet i not been told if i can...
cant wait now.
hope everyone is well and happy with thier own cars.
If anyone has any info on the note please dont be shy (i dont bite)
wonder how good they are on long runs? and fuel (mpg)etc etc
hope to read a few topics later on.
oh i do hope i have the new updated maps as mine is being built now.
im sure i read somewhere they asking £500 for the new map update. WOW!!!
Nice to be here hope to chat soon.. Andy..

Since you have Diesel, you don't have to worry about refueling!

Big Torque, makes it easy to drive and you don't need to

shift often..!

I believe your version comes with black/red interior only.

The tekna comes fully colour coded and the trays and arm in the back as standard (with 2 in the front too)

The connect sat nav uses an sd card for the maps whats around £150-200 for an updated older sat nav dvd system are £3-500 for a disc, poi and speed camera updates are a doddle todo with a usb stick, I,m working on the sat nav software to see if it can be modded

the rear spoiler option seems cheap till you find out is plus paint and fitting

Mines a 1.6 tekna (petrol) whats coming up to a year old no prob's so far on a long run (400+ miles) i had 50 mpg+

The nissan mats are a good buy

The folding mirrors are useful so are the no end of storage places (didnt twig the passenger seat lifted up untill 4-5 after i got it)

The back seat has lots of options (same mech as the modus what lifts so you have a totally flat load) yet to find this out on the note tho

the split load floor in the boot comes in handy esp when out shopping

hi flash22,  thanks for the info on the note, so if your having around 50 mpg+ on a good run what should the diesel do on same trip?
i did have a look at the rear spoiler but thought Nah not for me (maybe the kids would like it)
be great to find out what i think of the satnav i am used to IGO think its better than tomtom.though tomtom has more voices .. which i do like.i have a 7inch satnav in the car at the mo,which has i think 5 makes of satnav i can use, fold out screen type. shame to see it go.
the nissan mats are they the ones from the dealer or from another source!!!
thats one of the reasons i went for the tekna was the folding mirror, also the rear parking bleeper.
i must say the site has been usefull so far i hope i can add something to it later on after i have had my note !! Just hope the kids dont pinch it off me...

The mats are the proper nissan ones, only once had the sat give my duff directions via post code tbf it was the middle of the linconshire country side

only 1 english voice comes with the nissan nav (another thing im playing with) the nav its self is based around a bosch design and the nav runs on a system like the garmin navi

only problem i have with the note is filling up with petrol i tend to pull the bonnet release instead of the filler cap release what are side by side bit of a design flaw me thinks lol

I think your version

would be like this:

http://img379.imageshack.us/i/15356613ec7.png/">

Uploaded with http://imageshack.us - ImageShack.us

and the interior would be something like that:

http://img57.imageshack.us/i/nissannote37jz.jpg/">

Uploaded with http://imageshack.us - ImageShack.us

This is the pre-facelift version, so there are differences.

the seats are the same, except the color.

And the F/L interior pic:

http://img379.imageshack.us/i/65147287eb1.png/">

Uploaded with http://imageshack.us - ImageShack.us

If you (in UK) are using the same interior codes with us (in Greece)

Your seats should be black with red stiches.

I wouldn't recomend spoilers, skirts, etc,

cause you can easily damage them on ramps..

I envy your wheels, torque and interior guys...!

Ok, i'll probably find wheels from an SV7 Micra and paint them

white before using them.

Torque, and interior probably is gonna stay as it is for now!

Thanks for the pictures notefever. she does look good.

must say the petrol and bonnet catches do look a bit daft so close. never noticed that.

think engine going up to 90bhp,

not too keen on the wheels may change them for black or white, put white wall tyres on it too, if they are still around.

when did they stop the headlamp washers??

You re Welcome!

The official specs (from Nissan Gr) are:

1.4lt Engine -> 88hp, 12.8 Nm (torque)

1.6lt Engine ->110hp 15.3Nm

And for diesel:

1.5lt Engine -> 100hp 24Nm

The last 2 engines are exactly the same with Qash, except

the gearbox ratios.

Greek versions never had headlamp washers, so i don't know

the awnser for that...

notefever. The 3rd pic you posted is the facelift interior (with the nissan connect sat nav) and the 2nd one is a PRE-facelift interior

My BV4 tekna has the half gray leather with dark gray cloth and black stitching

iirc the black and red interior is in the uk N-tec Models

Thay change the colours around every 1 year to 18 months or so just to confuse people

Thay change the colours around every 1 year to 18 months or so just to confuse people

Indeed!

The worst thing is, when someone orders something and in the

meanwhile, the factory decides to change things..

(Not only Nissan, but every factory)

The last car i owned, was a 3d sierra. 86'mod 1.3lt engine.

It turned to be a belgium spec. model and it costed me a few

euros till i find out that, cause some parts i was bying for the 3d sierra

didn't always fitted and i was wondering: Why?....

Off topic, i know and i 'm sorry!

yes i know what you mean i had 3 corsa's a  Corsa B,C and D

the corsa B ( prefacelift) was built when thay facelifted them in 97 so it had both old and new parts

The corsa C was an 2004 facelift but had the old and and some say better 1.4 cambelt 1.4 ecotec engine, again a pain for parts

And the corsa D was a heap of junk

I'm not keen with Opel's plattform codes, but message recieved!

I used to like Nova in it's time..

And i almost bye an Historic Opel (Manta 2.0 with injection 8v engine)

years ago, but just before the deal was made, the owner

collided the car...

I got pieced off and bought an Fiat 131 1300tc and turn it

to a 2000tc instead..

I also had an 124 with a BETA engine and Abarth parts all around

(friends car who didn't really wanted it)

But the shell was always (but always) getting rusty, so i got

rid of it.

The car i regret selling, was my Sierra (full cos look in & out)

But it was cursed.. Often someone crashed to it and i was

getting very upset, so i had to say goodbye..

Anyway, i m ruining dear friends topic

and i 'm terrible sorry about that...

It's just memories poping out from the past!

After the phone call from renault to tell me they had a battery they also gave me BAD news.
they told me they have blown up my radio.it wont turn on!!! which is the satnav dvd cd bluetooth mp3 sdcard usb tv etc etc ....
They did say it was because the alternator was pushing out about 17 volts?
they have said cs will be intouch with me to find out what they intend doing about it!!!!!
so its in my kitchen now plugged in onto a battery and all it does is light up nothing else, just pretty blue lights, no screen not even the main pop out screen nothing i feel like

Renault can stick there cars where the sun dont shine.
sorry if i have offended any renault users but i have had nothing but trouble with the car..

No offense taken...!

I know how you mean it and i'm sorry for your troubles..

Renault policy (if there is any) is buy your car and good luck with it.

No after sales, at all..

First i thought, all the curses was taking place on me or my familiars.

Renault has (some) interesting models bad there is no organized

after sales policy.

Germans (group Vag, Bmw, Merc.) has this "magic touch" and they all think

they are buying the car of their life.

They have the (very) best promotion and after sales

But The only advantages they have, is safety (nowadays they all do)

Very quality interior (i like driving not having a Gala in my car).

Ergonomy.

We used to own a Rover 214 Si   91'mod.

For it's time it was a good looking car, well equiped and we are

fans of the English cars.

The Rover turned to be a disaster choice (silly prob. all the time)

and we got rid of it.

And the bad thing was that i wanted that car.

So i know what you mean..

Nissan will not fail you and it will make your day!

it will start EVERY day and it will take you EVERYWHERE!

P.s. Don't buy German car.......

P.s.2 They must have the most expensive service in th world..

Cause someone has to pay for the promotion and th after sales..!!!!

Maybe you should get rid of "your troubles"...

Nissan will not fail you (except from the fact that is not so

"steady" above 80mph and "windy" days..!

Note is my first Nissan and the despite of the first plan was to

"trade" Note with Megane Coupe' with my folks, i liked it so

much, that i kept it for my self!

thanks again notefever.
hhmmm over 80 mph unsteady..

i spent over 4 months looking far a new car that felt right for me!! within price range ..

i tried the megane coupe nice drive in it but was the same as all the new peugeots , found it hard to get into and out of.

never been keen on fords after they stopped the cortina.

i never tried the clio, untill they lent me 1, never liked the dull shape to it,maybe if i had it would have been a toss up with the tekna. though i know the tekna would still win lol as it ticks all the right boxes.

i still have my townace 4x4 auto,for family days out. a vauxhall omega 2.5td tracktor.lol a work horse,and fishing trips/days.

my classic car a 1958 wolseley1550D yep diesel in english white. very nice. though im thinking of handing it down to my son now as she is to much for me now.
just scrapped a toyota camry 2.0lt auto estate. some of todays kids broke into garage she was in and smashed every bit of glass slashed tires etc just for the fun of it.she was spotless no rust flew through every MOT.she was snow white.
and lastly i just sold my two yamaha's 125 tzr's which kept me feelling young.lol with the boyracers.lmao

looks like the car going to be off the road for a while now after last nights fight with a badger.
im going to say it hit me (others may say i hit it) but its ripped the front end off the car the engine cover underside / inner wing / grill on front all smashed. not had much luck with the car and only 3 days old had done 300 miles to the point of contact with the badger.

i hope its not been a exhibition car!!!
i had to take it as the insurance on the other car had ran out while i was at the garage.

UPDATE on my note !!!
had car from repair shop working and running only part they could not do was the engine undertray. said as soon as it comes in they will call to put it on.
when i picked it up it had 10 miles added to it? strange!!!

Nissan swansea keep calling me asking if im happy with the car????
when i try and return the call switchboard cuts me off!!!

im still waiting on the part that was not in it when made after they called me to say it was there and when i got there they then tell me it wasnt??? 3wks now
some relay in the rear???

i have noticed the trip meter is sitting at 55.mpg even though im doing long trips in it? even if im at 55 mph 60 mph 70 mph on diff days i try diff speeds it looks like its stuck on 55mpg. even being a boyracer its stuck on 55mpg, its done now just over 1000 miles

other little niggles are wipers when in auto mode come on when no rain only sun out ..? same with lights when on auto  turn on in day light too thought maybe the clock setting where wrong work perfect in rain/night..

hope everyone had a happy halloweeen

sorry if i bore some people with my comments regarding the note.
i do like it, drives well its just that its been silly little matters with it from day 1.

I think you can find an adjustable suspension but it's gonna be pricy...

Also if you raise the rear end (only) it will become unsteady

in hard braking and hard turning...!

NISSAN have just got of the phone to me to say the PART is in !!!! i never thought the part would take so long ??

but i still have to wait till 30th as they have booked it in..

Lovin the car , cant get me out it, driving here there everywhere just for the sheer enjoyment of driving it.

I have one drawback with the gearbox!! everytime i'm engaging 4th gear she feels like she wants to stall/dies. it's bad enough for me to mention it and wonder if anyone else has had the same feeling?

How is everyone ? christmas shopping all done think ive had my pressy early my NOTE TEKNAit.

60 MPG now around town and local i do have a few mountains where i am. cant wait to see what she does on way to scotland about 550 mile trip one way.

hope to be back on soon to read other posts..

i have the poi and speed cams now in the satnav DONT like the way they cover the screen. tho saying that i found a chip shop in town i never knew was there .lol lived here over 30years lol and its just up the road.lol blind or what..
was also thrown at roundabout as its not one now and not been for many years did not even manage to reroute me untill i was back onto the main road!! roundabout is back to front not let to right but right to left around it.lol welll i am in wales.lol
my old sat nav used to say keep left but turn right!!!! always made me laugh when going around it .lol

Hi again guys back from trip to Scotland...

WOW !!! what a great little car this is.. more said about fuel in the note/mpg section..

the heater was great like toast when i got there lol. after noticing that on auto setting the a/c would come on to even when cold outside?

car drives fantastic on a llong trip felt like new when i got out it after 7 hours driving, rreally glad i had the note...
when i arrived the snow came down.. i thought yess loving it.. hehhe so went out for a short spin to see what she would be like !!  i can tell you the busess and taxi's where taken off the roads ... and i was out thier enjoying.. this thing ESP i think it has, is the dogs B******s
wheel would start to slide and noticed light on dash flashing wow Brilliant thing felt like a 4x4 in the snow... felt it would go anywhere within reason!!! but come to a steep hill and bahh humbug lol not enough to get me up.saying that i dont think my 4x4 would have .

as i said love this little car its BRILL. would recommend to anyone, and i have always had BIG/ heavy cars in my 30 odd years of driving.
Hats off to NISSAN. 10/10.

one fault with it is the reversing sound  its a joke!!! had radio on when i tried it and well need i say more as i thought id try it blind.. hahhha broke the number plate of car behind me lol son-in-laws hehhe he not happy.
waited 6 to 7 wks for the part too..
why oh why did nissan not put the same idea in as the q's with the camera?????
can the sound be turned up on these ?
hope everyone is well and coping with this cold weather we having here.

Sounds like a happy owner!!!!

I have to visit a garage for the annual service

40.000km (25.000m) on the clock and i have to replace the discs/pads, cause i ve tortured them...!

I can't help you with the equipment (navy/camera) cause there might

be differenses between UK and Greek models..

Here, you don't have this option..!

But you can fit an aftermarket patent and as long as they

don't mess up with the cars electrics, you won't have any

problems with Nissan.
