Just thought I'd pop in here and say hi,
I've owned a Nissan since passing my test back in 2007. First got a Nissan Note 57 plate, and now three years on upgraded to yet another Nissan Note 60 plate, did also look at the Cube and the Qashquai, Cube was superb if it had been just a little bit bigger, and Qashquai just had too long a wait time on it (plus also Note is easier to spell when writing down the model of the car lol!).
Very happy with the new Nissan Note, although doesn't appear to have as much power as the old one, still got an automatic 1.6l engine in it, but seemed to have lost quite a lot of acceleration of the old car. Also doesn't appear as economic as the old one, old one I could get about 43mpg, this one I'm getting about 41.5mpg.
Also despite Nissan having top of the range technology in their cars Nissan Connect system seems to need a lot of work doing to it, such as ability to display album covers from MP3's, and a more up to date SatNav, although at least when putting in the shortest route it does try and still stick to A/B/C roads, unlike TomTom's idea of using U roads, farm tracks and sometimes even public footpaths (lol!).
Main reason for going for Nissan was we got it on motability scheme and none of the other manufacturers would throw in all the technology as Nissan did for such a low initial payment (paid £200 for the SVE version), also other advantage was they took the best of the best out of each country - Japanese technology, French design and British engineering. Originally the decision to go with Nissan when I first passed my test in 2007 was due to my Aunty as she had a Primera which was an amazing car, we also looked at many other models but none of them had anything really unique apart from the Nissan's and the Nissan's had really good mpg's which they certainly live up to.
Anyway guess this is enough for a hello introduction, excuse me if I waffle on a bit 'cos I have ADHD and Asperger's and can sometimes go on a bit ;).
