Hi Belly The first thing I would say is join you're local motor club and see what events such as navigational exercise and 12 cars that they are running. You don't say whether you're interested in driving or navigating, either way you will need to find someone to do one or the other with you unless you already have someone in mind. I hope that is helpful to you

If you are thinking of using your k10 and its a 1000cc modal it might be worth you looking at the formula1000 web site as the do a championship for 1000cc cars doing single venue rallies, you don't really need many mods to do night events but you will need some willing volunteers to come along and Marshall for you as well,

Hope you find out what you want at the club night, I've not done a night event for about 4 years now but have been marshalling on quite a few up here in Wales in that time,I started out navigating in the early eighties when 200 mile night events were comman place, they are a bit less mileage now but still a great place to start. I've co driven in a couple of events in micras and had some real good fun, the last tome was on the 2012 nicky grist stages when we finished 2nd in class it was great fun in the forests that they used on last years rally gb Andrew

Well going to you're local motor club is a start, also have you been out to watch or Marshall on sone events, marshalling will give you an insight into how the work and what goes on during the event. You could start by doing passage controls as these only require you to sign the competitors time card to confirm they have been on the correct route, its a good starting point

right went to local club yesterday, they do stage rally, navigational events, 12 car, autotest, autosolo, rallycross, night rallys, so going to see what comes up, talking to a couple of lads one suggested autotest a try if im using my road car, and on a navigator front my dad just no interest and i wasted my time

Sounds like a very active club there, so it would be good start to join them, Autotests are a good point to start I've done a few of them, can be a good point to learn some car control but you won't get as much fun as doing a road rally or even a stage event but they are good cheap astringent point. Shame your dads not interested in navigating for you, but if you join the motor club and go to the meetings I'm sure you will find some one that would be willing to sit in with you, it can be good to maybe get one of mates to try his hand and navigating and learn together as this can be a bit of fun and neither of you will have any great expectations of the others ability
