Hey there all, my name is Rob and I have just become the owner of a Nissan primera p12 2.2 deisel estate which I'm having a few problems with and wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction. The problem is, when I got the car the battery needed replaced, so did this and car started and ran but due to legal reasons, it was towed home.

I was informed by previous owner that the timing chain needed replaced as it was rattling, upon checking, I found the chain was in good order and reassembled engine casing.

Once car was started again, rattle was still present, this turned out to be vacuum pump tensioner and pump were damaged.

These were replaced and now, the car will not start with the cam shaft sensor plugged in??????? unplug it, and car starts and runs well at idle.

Am at a loss and very frustrated, as my ideal car, is starting to get on my nerves lol.

I am thinking of putting it to the dealers for a diagnostic check, but was informed to join here and ask you guys before doing so.
